10:00 AM

Chappaqua class starts in Gedney Park-click for info
Class is held at the front of Gedney Park, weather permitting. Register through Chappaqua Recreation. This is a seven week course which starts April 24th at 10:00AM,  45 minutes per class.

Please, you must call me at 845 228-0341, before class starts.

Equipment: required:   (I carry a variety of high quality products available for your convenience at class)

Clicker (available for sale at class)

6 ft. long cotton web or leather leash

(I carry excellent quality leather leashes)

Buckle or snap  on regular collar

Treat pouch  (available for sale at class)

Treats - (Available at class)

Important to use really tasty treats. No biscuits or kibble please. Treats must be small, and easy to chew. I recommend hot dogs cut up into tiny pieces, then placed in microwave for 3 minutes on some paper towels.  Other recommendations are freeze-dried liver (available in pet shops), cheddar crackers, cheese, cut-up meat.

You want to bring what trainers refer to as "A Million dollar Treat". Something your dog will not refuse even if he is overwhelmed and over stimulated by all of the other dogs and people. I cannot emphasize the importance of this enough.

Wear sensible low-heeled shoes, and wear layers to be prepared for the weather. Class is outdoors.

Rain dates - Please call 845 228-0341 if you have any questions about whether or not class will be held. Class will be held, weather permitting. You will not lose that class, it will simply be postponed to the following week.

Please bring baggies to pick-up after your dog.

Clicker - You can get a clicker at class for $3.00.

Children and spouses are welcome, and may watch from the sidelines.

Looking forward to meeting you, your families, and your dogs.
